About Me
I came to the United States at 13 with basic English, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to make my life here impactful. As the eldest daughter of immigrant parents who sacrificed everything to give us this opportunity, I understood early what was at stake. There was no safety net. The only way out was through. What I didn’t have in resources, connections, or a roadmap, I made up for in determination.
My path to medicine was anything but linear. No mentors, no blueprint, just one step at a time. I trained through COVID as a young resident, questioned everything, worked as a hospitalist for a year, pivoted toward dermatology, and ultimately came face to face with what I had known all along: that the path I was on was not mine to walk. I realized I had spent years following a script that simply didn’t fit me, one that left no room for the full breadth of who I am, what I know, and what I am capable of. The courage it took to stop following that script and start building my own path was terrifying. And it changed everything.
If you are a medical student, resident, or physician who feels lost, burnt out, or quietly terrified of pivoting — or any professional who has built an identity around a career that no longer fits — I see you. I was you. And I want you to know that the path forward is not always the one you planned, but it can be the one that finally feels like yours.
If you are a woman trying to navigate your career, your family, and your health all at once — same.
Today I practice internal medicine with a focus on women’s health, from preconception through menopause, alongside lifestyle, preventive medicine, and skin and hair health. I believe in medicine that meets patients where they are, that applies emerging evidence rather than waiting decades for the field to catch up, and that treats the whole person. I am also a working mom navigating the beautiful, relentless, and deeply imperfect intersection of parenthood and a demanding career, and I believe that living this duality is making me a better physician, a more intentional parent, and someone who is always evolving.
E.L.I.N.A Collective was born from all of it. The immigrant story. The nonlinear path. The hard-won clarity. The mom life. The pivot. E.L.I.N.A — Elevate, Learn, Inspire, Nourish, Achieve — is for anyone who has ever had to figure it out alone, who has taken the unconventional path, and who is ready to own their health and their journey.
You are not behind. You are not broken. You are right where you need to be.
This is your place of sunshine.
